Kaizen is a Japanese term that means continuous improvement (taken from the words 'Kai' meaning continuous and 'Zen' meaning improvement). Kaizen was chosen as an appropriate name for an initiative to develop a range of software to help people to develop various areas of mental performance, in particular memory skills and rapid math calculation. Kaizen reflects the value of setting a goal in one's life to strive for continuous personal development.

CardSharp allows you to learn and practice a simple technique that allows you to memorise a standard deck of playing cards. Being able to do this is a rather impressive parlour trick and the general memory techniques involved can also be applied to memorising more important and diverse information.

SpeedRead is a simple utility to help you develop speed reading skills. By displaying text in a document quickly SpeedRead forces you to read the text without the usual conscious vocalisation of each word allowing a higher reading speed with no loss in comprehension.

Other programs to teach memorisation and rapid mental math calculation techniques are in development and will be released in the near future. The software in the Kaizen series is released as freeware or shareware and trial versions are available from the Downloads section. If you find the software useful the full versions can be purchased on-line.
